Led by Prof. Jerry Hajjar, outgoing president of the Structural Engineering Institute and Department Chair at Northeastern University CEE, the workshop “Towards Zero Carbon: Developing a Roadmap for the Structural Engineering Profession and the Structural Engineering Institute, ASCE” took place at Northeastern University, bringing together practitioners and academics to envision the path to a net zero industry.
Prof. Demi Fang served as recorder for the breakout session titled “Life Cycle Assessment, Databases, and Software”, moderated by Prof. Matthew Eckelman of Northeastern University CEE (who also gave a fantastic keynote on resource extraction in the industry.) Stay tuned for a report summarizing the key takeaways from the workshop and breakout groups.
